ok...so we all kinda know that in the Sonic games it was not very clear how Shadow fell from ARK and lived to tell the tale, right? Well...I think I know how he lived.
Think back to the ending to SA2B, he fell...but Sonic did try to save him, but only managed to slip off one of Shadow's rings on his arms.
Now go to some point in Sonic the Hedgehog for X-BOX. When Shadow was attacking Memphiles, he took off his rings because they were power supressers.
Now go to when Rouge found Shadow in that capslue thing. He had all his rings.
Here's what I think what happened: when Sonic slipped the ring off Shadow, Shadow was still in his super form as he was falling, but because of minus one power suppreser, he must of stayed in super form longer to let him live. When he did crash in the earth, that must of been when he lost his memories. Dr. Eggman must of found him, relized the rings he had on him were power suppressers, created him another power suppresser, cloned him, and then stuck him in the capsule.
